Gimel is the third letter in Hebrew, and hence the cutaway number 3 that you can see in the logo too. Symbolically, gimel represents a rich man running after a poor man to offer him charity. It is also related to gemul which means a justified repayment or the giving of a reward.
Now you might be wondering what all of this has to do with a blog. Well, bear with me. This blog is all about shopping and products. And we in the First World are very blessed to be able to afford the luxury lifestyle that allows us to spend wantonly on shopping excursions and all the newest and best products.
So it is my hope that with all the shopping, product, reviews and other information that I share, that you will take a moment and be reminded of what gimel means. I hope we’ll all pause every so often and with a heart of gratitude give back a “justified repayment” or give a reward to those who are less fortunate.
