Lego military sets are a large and rather interesting category in the realm of building block toys that you can buy army tank with included. The Lego company has not yet released any sets that include modern war items like realistic tanks and helicopters. Apparently, they have a strict stance against true military models, including a policy against creating or supporting modern and realistic items, even though the company is a strong supporter of all the people who put their lives on the line to serve the country.
Even with Lego’s strict policy, the company has made several collections featuring army Legos and fantasy warfare. Realistic army vehicles are found in the collection known as Lego Creator. These include a helicopter, miniature jet and miniature off-road vehicle. And if you have some skills as a builder with Lego blocks, everyone has the freedom to create his or her own army Lego toys with pieces available in other sets.
The Toy Story movies have made little plastic army men extremely popular again, and so Lego created a new collection of sets that focus on the toy soldiers and that comes equipped with a toy Jeep with spare tire and infantry stretcher. But even though modern military pieces aren’t in line with Lego’s official toy policy, many Lego builders consider ancient warfare a favorite theme, so they are a popular subject of Lego sets. For example, if you or someone you know is interested in medieval army toys for kids, you don’t have to look hard to find the Army of Vikings Lego sets which feature small figurines holding spears and swords as they bravely march into fictional battles. The whole Lego Vikings collection of sets is one of the larger sets that come with 312 pieces, including seven Viking figurines and parts for a rolling armored wagon that is able to fire as many as ten bolts toward the opposing army.
So you see, even though Lego won’t allow sets that mimic modern war and military equipment, the company has other options, like the Viking sets, for anyone who is interested in using Lego to create elaborate story lines and battle scenes.
